Care Guide
RATTAN
- Clean gently. Dust the furniture regularly with a soft cloth. Furniture polish is not necessary but can be used sparingly
- Dry rattan furniture well. A damp cloth with a mild furniture cleaner may be used but take care not to soak the furniture
- Vacuum rattan furniture with the brush attachment. Use your vacuum's brush attachment on woven panels and furniture crevices. A dry brush with a medium bristle can also be used for cleaning by hand
- Rotate rattan furniture. Rattan fibers can fade in strong light. If possible, rotate furniture on a regular basis to evenly distribute the fading
LEATHER
- Wipe furniture at least once a week with a soft damp cloth to prevent dust build up and soiling
- Always use a good quality and specific Leather Care Product, never use saddle soaps, abrasive cleaners, furniture wax, furniture oils, ammonias or excess water for cleaning leather
- Always apply a good quality Leather Conditioner every 3 to 4 months to keep leather soft and supple and to prevent cracking or drying
- Never place leather furniture near a direct heat source such as a radiator, heat vent or open fireplace
- Keep furniture out of direct sunlight to prevent fading
TEAK
- Use coasters for drinks and protective mats for hot food on your teak to avoid water rings
- Wipe up any spills on teak furniture right away, so they do not set into the wood and cause stains
- Occasionally wipe furniture to keep dirt and debris to a minimum
- To remove heavy stains, you can lightly sand away these areas with fine-grit sandpaper. Don't sand against the grain as this will scratch the teak
- For additional protection, consider applying a stain protector to your indoor teak furniture
